Getting started

What does Meontor need?

An iPhone or iPad running iOS 26 or later. The Mentor uses Apple Intelligence when your device supports it and it's turned on. Otherwise Meontor writes reflections on device without it.

Is there an account?

No. Open the app and start logging.

Will Meontor send me notifications?

If you want them: an evening note with a question for tonight you can answer right in the notification, or in the app from the evening, your week on its last evening, and at most one gentle check-in a day, in a part of the day you usually log. Never more than two a day, and each kind can be switched off in Settings. They are planned on your device; there is no server.

How do I add the widget?

Touch and hold your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and choose Meontor. The medium size shows your day so far and three suggestions; the large adds the last thing you logged, six suggestions and a thought.

Logging

How does Meontor choose what to suggest?

It learns from your own days: what you tend to log at this time, on this day of the week, and what usually follows. The more you log, the better it fits. It all happens on your device.

I logged something at the wrong time. Can I fix it?

Yes. On Timeline or Now, swipe right to edit an entry or left to delete it. Delete offers Undo.

Can I use Siri?

Yes. Try "Log coffee in Meontor" or "Start deep focus in Meontor". You can also add Meontor to Control Center, the Lock Screen or the Action button.

What details can I add?

How many glasses, the calories in a meal, what kind of coffee, a note, or a measure like your weight. Rate your mood, energy or sleep with a face. Set any activity to ask every time.

Can I add my own activities and categories?

Yes. Tap + in Quick Capture, or go to Settings, then Activities or Categories.

The Mentor

Who writes the Mentor's words?

Meontor writes the opening itself, from the shape of your day, and never about hours still to come. Apple Intelligence on your device writes the rest, or Meontor writes it on device when Apple Intelligence isn't available. It never measures one part of your life against another.

Can I look back at earlier days?

Yes. Tap the calendar, or swipe the reflection, for any past day or week. A past day stays as it was written.

What is "What you're learning about yourself"?

After about three weeks, up to three things that have held across your last four weeks, found with fixed statistical bars, never by a language model. They always point to something that goes well, and never touch habits like smoking or drinking, pain or stress, or your roles.

What does the Mentor write?

The shape of your day, drawn on a single line and put into words; what each of your roles held; something worth noticing; and a thought. At the bottom, how today sits in your recent weeks. Each week it adds what has held across the last four. You can look back at any day or week. It reflects; it doesn't grade.

Why does a reflection say "Written on device"?

It means no line on the page came from Apple Intelligence: it wasn't available, or what it wrote didn't pass Meontor's checks against your log. The Apple Intelligence button beside the date always tells you which.

Privacy and data

Where is my data?

On your device, and nowhere else. Meontor has no server and no sync, so your iPhone and iPad each keep their own log.

What does Meontor read from Health?

Sleep, steps, active energy, resting heart rate and workouts, each one once you turn it on, and never before. It never writes to Health.

Can I export or erase my data?

Yes, from Settings, then Privacy. Export saves your activities and entries as a file you choose where to keep; Erase removes everything.

Can I lock Meontor?

Yes. Turn on Require Face ID (or Touch ID, or your passcode) in Settings, then Privacy. While it's locked, nothing of your log shows, not even in the app switcher.

What happens if I delete the app?

Its data is deleted with it, unless it's in a backup.
